Privacy Policy
American Locksmith Services LLC ("American Locksmith," "we," "us") is a Texas-licensed locksmith company serving The Woodlands, Spring, Tomball, Cypress, Katy and nearby areas. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit our website, call, text, email or message us, book or receive service, sign documents, pay us or leave a review, and how we use, share and protect it.
1. Information we collect
- Contact details: name, phone number, email address, service address and, for businesses, your company name and role.
- Service details: the service you need, your vehicle's year, make, model and VIN, lock, door and property details, key and master key records, gate or access codes you give us, and notes you share.
- Proof of ownership or authorization: before opening, rekeying or making keys, we check a photo ID and proof of ownership or authority. We record the type of document and the name on it. When a job needs extra documentation (for example, All Keys Lost, evictions or REO properties), we may keep a photo of the document.
- Calls and voicemail: call logs, voicemails and, when a recording notice is played, call recordings, transcripts and summaries.
- Messages: texts, emails, website chat, and messages you send us through Google, Facebook, Instagram or WhatsApp.
- Appointments: dates, times and details of bookings, reminders and arrival updates.
- Documents and e-signatures: quotes, work orders, service authorizations and receipts you view or sign electronically, including your signature, initials, and the date, time, IP address and device used to sign.
- Payment information: payments by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, tap to pay, payment links and invoices are processed by our third-party payment processor (for example, Stripe). We receive the amount, date, card type and last four digits, but not your full card number. Cash, Zelle and Cash App payments are handled by those services.
- Photos and video: we may photograph or record the lock, vehicle, door or work area before, during and after service to document its condition and our work.
- Reviews and feedback: ratings, reviews and survey answers you give us or post about us.
- Website and device data: IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, referring links, ad clicks and approximate location, collected through cookies, pixels and similar technologies.
- Information from others: property managers, landlords, realtors or businesses may give us your contact details to schedule service at a property. We may also receive information from Google, Facebook or other platforms when you contact us through them.
2. How we use your information
- To answer your questions, give quotes, schedule and dispatch service, send arrival updates and complete the work.
- To verify you are authorized to access the vehicle or property, and to document the condition of the property and the work we did.
- To send the service texts, calls and emails you agreed to receive, such as quotes, appointment reminders, arrival updates, receipts, warranty follow-ups and review requests.
- To send marketing texts and emails, only if you opted in to them. You can opt out at any time.
- To process payments, issue invoices and receipts, keep business and tax records, and respond to billing disputes and chargebacks.
- To prevent fraud and unauthorized entry, protect our customers, our business and others, and comply with the law.
- To improve our website, services and customer care, and to train our team.
- To show examples of our work in marketing, only with faces, license plates, addresses and personal documents removed or hidden, unless you give us permission.
3. Automated and AI tools
Our customer platform includes automated and artificial intelligence (AI) features. We may use them to answer common questions, collect details for a quote, book appointments, send follow-ups, and transcribe or summarize calls and messages. When an automated assistant answers a call or message, it will say so or it will be clear from the conversation, and you can ask to reach a person. We do not use automated tools to make decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.
4. Text messages (SMS)
If you opt in, you will receive text messages from American Locksmith Services LLC. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time or HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of purchase. See our Terms of Service for full program details.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
5. Calls and call recording
Calls to and from our business line may be recorded, transcribed and summarized for quality, training, dispute resolution and record-keeping. Recorded calls start with a notice. If you do not want to be recorded, tell us at the start of the call or contact us by text or email instead.
6. Email
We send service emails about your request, appointment, documents and payments. If you opt in to marketing emails, each one includes an unsubscribe link, and we honor unsubscribe requests promptly.
7. Cookies, pixels and analytics
Our website, forms and chat use cookies and similar technologies so the site works, to remember your form progress, to understand how visitors use the site, and to measure our advertising. These may include analytics and advertising tools from our website platform, Google and Meta (Facebook and Instagram). You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can manage ad preferences in your Google and Meta account settings. Some site features may not work without cookies. Where the law requires it, we honor browser signals that ask us not to use your data for targeted advertising.
8. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only:
- With service providers that help us run the business, such as our customer relationship, messaging and website platform (HighLevel/LeadConnector), phone and text carriers, email delivery providers, our payment processor, e-signature and document tools, scheduling, mapping and navigation tools, cloud storage, and accounting providers. They may use your information only to provide services to us.
- With the person or business that requested or is paying for the service, such as a property manager, landlord, realtor or employer, limited to what they need (for example, a receipt or confirmation that the work was completed).
- With platforms you choose to use, such as Google, Facebook, Instagram or WhatsApp, when you message us or leave a review there. Their own privacy policies apply.
- When required by law or to protect safety: to respond to legal process, to cooperate with law enforcement when we believe a request to access property is unlawful, or to protect the rights, property and safety of our customers, our business or others.
- With a buyer or successor if our business is sold, merged or reorganized, subject to this policy.
9. How long we keep information
We keep personal information as long as we need it for the purposes above, including to honor warranties, resolve disputes and chargebacks, and meet legal, tax and accounting requirements. Service, authorization and payment records are generally kept for up to seven years. We keep a record of opt-out requests so we can keep honoring them. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or remove details that identify you.
10. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards, including access controls on our customer platform and devices. Key codes, master key records and authorization documents are treated as confidential. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Your choices and rights
- Texts: reply STOP to opt out, or HELP for help. You can also tell us by phone or email.
- Email: use the unsubscribe link or contact us.
- Access, correction and deletion: you can ask us to confirm whether we process your personal information, give you a copy, correct it or delete it. Some records must be kept for legal, warranty, tax or safety reasons, and we will tell you if that applies.
- Targeted advertising: you can ask us not to use your information for targeted advertising.
To make a request, email [email protected] or call (281) 640-4745. We will verify your identity and respond within 45 days (or tell you if we need up to 45 more days). If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision with "Appeal" in the subject line, and we will respond within 60 days. We will not treat you differently for exercising your rights. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state law.
12. Children
Our services are for adults. Our website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Service must be requested and authorized by someone 18 or older.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top shows when it was last changed. If we make material changes to how we use text-message information, we will ask for your consent where required.
